La Porte County Symphony Orchestra’s 2026–2027 Season: America the Beautiful – Now in its 54th season and sixth under the direction of Dr. Carolyn Watson, the LCSO’s 2026–2027 lineup blends classical masterworks, family friendly programming, and crowd pleasing performances, highlighted by Scheherazade, a Beethoven tribute, a Classical Kids collaboration, and a high energy finale with ARRIVAL from Sweden: The Music of ABBA.
- September 12, 2026 – Grand Finale Hoosier Star – A celebratory sendoff to a 20-year tradition, featuring standout amateur vocalists performing with the orchestra in this beloved competition and fundraiser.
- October 14, 2026 – Drayton Family Children’s Education Concerts – An engaging, interactive experience introducing thousands of local students to live orchestral music through Carnegie Hall’s Link Up program.

La Porte LakeFest – July 24-26, La Porte – Uncle Kracker headlines La Porte LakeFest on July 25 with a free lakeside show, bringing his signature country-pop-rock sound and hits like “Follow Me,” along with a chart-topping collaboration with Kenny Chesney.
XINSURANCE Great Lakes Grand Prix – July 27–Aug 2, Michigan City – Feel the roar of the engines and the rhythm of live music! From high-speed thrills on the water to high-energy performances on land, Washington Park and downtown come alive with entertainment for all ages.

Michigan City Oktoberfest Sept 4-7 – Oktoberfest is back in Michigan City and features over 50 live entertainment acts on 3 stages, multiple bars, and a wide variety of food, art, craft and merchandise vendors as well as a Kids Zone. Labor Day weekend fun for the whole family.
