Arts in the Park celebrates 24 years of community involvement, music, and the arts with LaPorte! Fox Park’s green hillside brings nostalgic memories of seasons gone by while overlooking the scenic beauty of Clear Lake. With the evenings growing longer and the day’s heat seeping into the night’s cool breeze, Arts in the Park’s 2024 season provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Summer!

The 2024 season is filled with talented local and regional bands from a variety of musical genres every Thursday evening from June 6 – August 29, Preconcert: 6-6:45 PM, Main Band: 7-8:30 PM, starting with contemporary rock and country band, The Remedy! The following June bands include country band, Lomax Station, performing June 13, and 50’s & 60’s Rockabilly tribute band, Rosie & the Rivets on June 20. Midwest Hype will complete AIP’s first month’s events with high energy funk and jazz. The LaPorte City Band will adorn the Fox Park hillside with music each Wednesday, June 5 – August 7, at 7 PM.

The Remedy kicks off the season on opening night, June 6, from 7 PM—8:30 PM following a delightful performance from the brother duo The Oscos at 6 PM. The Remedy Band is one of the most requested groups of Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. Known for their dynamic performances and diverse song selections, this band has something for everyone! Opening night has more than just music. LaPorte County Poet Laureate, Scott Simerlein, will recite poetry, and AIP’s exhibiting artist Rob Prellwitz shares his colored pencil masterpieces. Food trucks – Digzy Dogz, D & D Goodies, Down’s Family Catering, and Hot Rod Snow Cones will be on-site along with concessions served by members of the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra.

Every Thursday evening will include unique bands, preconcert activities, art exhibits, poetry readings, concessions, and food trucks for every palate. Wednesdays with the LaPorte City band include regular visits from the LaPorte County Mobile Library. Concessions will be available for purchase. All of this is possible through the generosity of our LaPorte community and June sponsors: La Porte Healthcare Foundation, Tech Credit Union, The Unity Foundation of LaPorte, Judy Jensen, Newby Lewis Kaminsky & Jones, Jimmy John’s, The Floor Store, MTM Realty, and Go Ariel Fitness. Thank you!

Arts in the Park is thrilled to announce a new free shuttle service available during our Thursday evening concerts. We have partnered with Paladin Inc. to make this possible. From 5-9 PM a shuttle will pick up patrons on clearly marked pickup points throughout the Fox Park parking areas and drop-off right in front of the bandshell! Whether you have limited mobility or simply would prefer not having to walk with your lawn chairs and coolers after parking from a distance, this service is available to everyone at no cost! Tipping the driver and donating toward this service are greatly encouraged and appreciated.

A warm breeze off Clear Lake brings a whisper of summer and with it the promise of an incredible 2024 season with Arts in the Park! Three months of music including three tribute band performances! Country, jazz, rock, folk, and pop, on top of arts exhibits, poetry reading, kids’ activities and concessions, Arts in the Park will be celebrating summer in style! Mark your calendars and share in the experience of bringing our community together through music and the arts this 2024 season!
