Stone Lake located adjacent to Soldiers Memorial Park is a no-wake lake connected to Pine Lake through a channel. It is an average of 36 feet deep and around 140 acres of water.
Stone Lake is one of the best lakes in LaPorte for outdoor fun! Along the 620 feet of sandy beaches, you can jump in and take a swim in the water. Stone is also the lake where there is a public handicap-accessible canoe and kayak launch.
If you aren’t in the water, there’s plenty to do on the shore. For the young ones, there are slides and swings in the playground nearby. Picnic tables and grills are available for patrons to use if they get hungry.
This area is also a hub for hikes around the lakes. Nature trails have been developed through a stand of native trees, allowing environmental education opportunities.
